Shyam Benegal Completes Shooting for his Satirical Comedy ‘Well Done Abba’
After Welcome to Sajjanpur, veteran film director, Shyam Benegal again brings a satirical and humorous comedy ‘Well Done Abba’. The film is in collaboration with BIG Pictures, Reliance BIG Entertainment Ltd.’s motion pictures brand.
Shyam Benegal is an author, director and a social activist and has been honored with prestigious awards like Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri and many National Film Awards as well.
‘Well Done Abba’ is a story of a driver working in Mumbai who takes leave for a month to find a husband for his teenage daughter. He returns to work after 3months and the employer wants to sack him. However, he is persuaded to listen to the reason for his delay.
The film is based on two short stories, ‘Narsaiyyan Ka Bavdi’ written by Jeelani Bano and Sanjeev’s ‘Phulwa ka Pul’. The stars of this movie are Boman Irani in double role, Minissha Lamba and Sameer Dattani as main leads.
